The 12" size is one of the most common rack tom sizes in drumming, and the Emperor Coated suits it particularly well — producing a full-bodied tone with controlled sustain and enhanced warmth that brings out the natural character of the drum shell under heavier playing conditions. The two-ply construction makes it the natural step up from the Ambassador Coated for drummers who play with heavier sticking or require greater volume output, while the coated finish retains the warm, musical character that suits a wide range of playing styles and genres. Equally effective as a snare batter head, the 12" Emperor Coated is a versatile and dependable choice for drummers across rock, pop, funk and beyond.

Watch The Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head In Action...

Two-Ply Construction For Durability & Projection

The Emperor's two-ply 7-mil construction provides a significantly more durable playing surface than a single-ply head, making it the preferred choice for hard hitters and high-volume players who require a head that can withstand intensive use over the long term. The additional ply increases the head's projection and volume output, making the Emperor Coated particularly well suited to louder live performance environments where the rack tom needs to cut through the mix with authority.

Warm, Open Tones With Enhanced Warmth & Sustain

Despite the heavier two-ply construction, the Emperor Coated retains the warm and open tonal character associated with the coated finish. On a 12" rack tom, the Emperor Coated produces a full-bodied tone with controlled sustain and enhanced warmth that sits naturally in the mix — making it a popular choice for drummers who want the benefits of a heavier head without sacrificing the musical, warm character that makes coated heads so widely used across live and studio drumming.

KEY FEATURES: Remo 12" Emperor Coated Tom & Snare Drum Head – BE-0112-00

2-Ply 7-Mil Coated Film: Heavy-duty two-ply construction delivers increased durability, volume and projection over single-ply designs.

Warm, Open Tones: Coated finish retains warmth and musical character despite the heavier construction.

Increased Durability: Two-ply construction withstands heavy playing and intensive use for longer head life.

Enhanced Projection: Greater volume output than a single-ply head for high-volume live performance environments.

Controlled Sustain: Fuller, more controlled sustain with enhanced warmth compared to the Ambassador Coated.

Versatile Applications: Suitable for tom batter, snare batter and bass drum applications.

Size: 12".

Part Number: BE-0112-00.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0891/3344/9551/files/65244d4ab313934dfa44fc96_20231009T0625-31bde21d-2a01-4383-860a-2c3d11390c71.webp?v=1790858711
