The Laney BCC-TDE — known as The Difference Engine — is a boutique stereo delay pedal that brings the best of classic and contemporary delay worlds onto your pedalboard. It emulates three legendary eras of delay — analogue tape, digital 80s-style repeats, and dynamic digital tones inspired by high-end rack units — and allows you to combine and twist features from each for richly textured and original sounds. Built by Laney’s own Black Country Customs team in the UK, it’s designed for expressive performance, deep editing and creative exploration across guitar, bass, keyboards and line-level signals.

With an ultra-sharp OLED display, intuitive controls and 100 recallable patches (50 factory + 50 user), The Difference Engine delivers both classic echo sounds and cutting-edge effects such as modulation, ducking and wrap-around delays — making it a versatile tool for players and producers alike.

Both work excellent and are the best clip-on tuners I have used.
