The BOSS CP-1X is a modern, multiband compressor pedal for guitar. It utilizes BOSS’s proprietary Multi-Dimensional Processing (MDP) technology to provide advanced, transparent, and musical dynamics control without colouring the instrument's original tone.

This compressor is designed to offer a new, more expressive experience than traditional stompbox compressors. Its intelligent circuitry analyzes the guitar signal in multiple dimensions in real-time, adapting to every nuance of playing. The simple four-knob interface makes it easy to dial in sophisticated studio-level compression results. With its professional 18-volt input electronics, the CP-1X has ample headroom to handle high-output instruments and is optimized for all types of guitars, including seven- and eight-string models, as well as acoustic-electrics.
