The Neutrik NC3MXX is a 3-pin male XLR cable connector featuring a nickel diecast housing and silver-plated contacts. As part of Neutrik’s next-generation XX series, it builds on the long-established XLR standard with improvements in durability, assembly efficiency, and contact integrity.
Designed for use in professional audio environments, the NC3MXX is suitable for microphone cables, balanced line-level connections, and interconnect leads used in live sound, recording studios, broadcast, education, houses of worship, and commercial AV installations.
Enhanced Durability For Professional Use
The NC3MXX features a rugged zinc diecast shell with a more stringent housing construction for increased strength. The improved locking recess design, without the traditional “window”, enhances durability while maintaining secure mating with XLR chassis connectors.
An internal thread on the shell is protected against damage, supporting long-term reliability in demanding touring and installation environments.
Improved Cable Retention And Strain Relief
An upgraded chuck-type strain relief system provides higher pull-out force, ensuring the cable remains securely clamped during use. This also simplifies assembly, making cable termination faster and more consistent.
The boot incorporates a polyurethane gland to provide enhanced protection against cable bending stresses, reducing wear at the connector entry point and extending cable lifespan.
