The Studiomaster DigiLive 16RS is a powerful 16-input digital mixer housed in a 3U rackmount format, offering the same professional-grade DSP and audio quality as the DigiLive 16, but optimised for installations and mobile rigs where space is limited. Designed for remote operation via the iPad-compatible DigiLive Blackbox app, it’s ideal for engineers who want full control from anywhere in the venue while keeping the mixing hardware neatly out of sight.

Despite its compact rack form factor, the DigiLive 16RS features 12 mic inputs, stereo line channels, high-resolution 192kHz converters, and 16 internal busses—making it an excellent choice for live events, broadcast, AV installations, houses of worship, and more. The 40-bit SHARC DSP engine delivers flexible routing, studio-grade effects, and scene management, with onboard USB for stereo playback and recording.

Compact Rackmount Format with Flexible I/O

Built for professional audio environments where space-saving is key, the DigiLive 16RS delivers comprehensive I/O within a 3U rackmount design. The 12 mic inputs are provided on a combination of XLR and combo sockets, alongside stereo line inputs (6.3mm and 3.5mm jack). Outputs include balanced XLR main outs, six assignable smart outputs, monitor and headphone outs, plus digital AES/EBU and S/PDIF connections for versatile system integration.

Without onboard faders or touchscreen, the DigiLive 16RS is operated entirely via remote control. The free iOS Blackbox app offers intuitive touch access to all channels, routing, effects, scenes, and monitoring, giving engineers the freedom to mix from any location within Wi-Fi range.

Studio-Quality DSP, Effects, and Remote Scene Recall

At the heart of the DigiLive 16RS is a powerful 40-bit floating point SHARC DSP processor capable of delivering pristine sound with ultra-low latency. Up to eight simultaneous effects can be assigned across the 16 internal busses, including four stereo FX channels and two mono AUX sends. Effects include reverb, delay, modulation, and a 31-band graphic EQ with real-time analyser (RTA).

With dual USB ports for audio playback/recording, system updates, and show file management, the DigiLive 16RS is well-suited to both touring applications and permanent installs. The unit also supports optional external Wi-Fi modules for seamless remote operation in more complex venues.
