The BOSS SL-2 Slicer is a compact, advanced pedal that chops your sound into unique percussive patterns, bringing rhythmic grooves to life across the stereo field. An evolution of the legacy SL-20 Slicer, the SL-2 provides expanded capabilities in a pedalboard-friendly BOSS compact format. It's designed to be an inspiring creative tool for musicians of all types.
Creative Sonic Power
With 88 onboard patterns and the ability to access hundreds more via the BOSS Tone Studio app, the SL-2 offers immense creative potential. Its modern DSP engine delivers rich, animated sounds through single and dual slicer paths with internal effects. You can shape the sound on the fly with the Attack and Duty knobs, controlling the wave shape and length of the sliced audio. The pedal also features seven different stereo output modes, including Ping-Pong and 3D Rotation, to create dynamic soundscapes.
Seamless Integration and Control
The SL-2 is designed for seamless integration into any setup. It features mono/stereo input and output, and a TRS MIDI input for clock sync with drum machines, DAWs, and other devices. You can also connect an external footswitch for tap tempo or an expression pedal to control various parameters. The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or an optional AC adapter.
