The D'Addario XPND Core Double Row Pedalboard (PW-XPNDCORE-02) is a compact, fixed-width aluminium pedalboard measuring 16.7 inches wide by 12.5 inches long, designed to accommodate two rows of effects pedals in a clean, organised layout. It is the entry point to D'Addario's XPND pedalboard system — built on the same aluminium construction and cable management principles as the full XPND range, but without the adjustable telescoping mechanism, keeping the price and weight lower for players who don't yet need a board that expands. Pre-mounted loop strips across the surface provide secure pedal attachment with hook-and-loop fastening, and the integrated cable management system routes cables beneath the board, keeping the top surface uncluttered and protecting connections from accidental kicks and pulls.

Upgradeable To Full XPND

The defining feature of the XPND Core is its upgrade path. When your setup grows beyond what a fixed-width board can accommodate, the separately sold XPND Core Expansion Kit (PW-XPNDCORE-02E) converts the Core into a fully adjustable XPND pedalboard, adding the telescoping mechanism that lets the board's length extend to suit more pedals. This means the Core is not a compromise — it's a deliberate starting point that gives you a clean, functional board now with the option to scale up later without replacing the whole platform.

Aluminium Construction And Cable Management

The board is constructed from aluminium, which gives the XPND Core its durability without adding unnecessary weight. Aluminium is the standard material for serious gigging pedalboards because it resists warping, handles temperature changes, and stands up to the physical demands of transport and stage use far better than plastic or wood alternatives. The integrated cable management system allows patch cables and power supply leads to run underneath the board's surface, keeping everything tidy and reducing the risk of cables pulling loose from pedal jacks during a performance.

The board arrives with loop strips already applied across the surface, ready for hook strips to be attached to the base of pedals. This allows pedals to be fixed securely in position during a performance and swapped out quickly and cleanly between sessions, without leaving residue on the pedal housings.
