The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster is a solid-body electric guitar with a poplar body finished in gloss polyurethane, paired with a bolt-on maple neck in the classic "C" shape and a 9.5" radius maple fingerboard with black dot inlays across 21 medium jumbo frets. Three ceramic single-coil Strat pickups — voiced in-house at Fender — are controlled via master volume, two tone controls (Tone 1 for neck/middle, Tone 2 for bridge), and Fender's familiar 5-position blade switching, covering the full range of classic Strat tones from bright, articulate single-coil sounds through to the in-between quack that defines the pickup selector's 2nd and 4th positions.
A 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with block saddles delivers smooth, accurate tremolo action and reliable tuning return, while sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts make restringing straightforward and keep the guitar in tune through regular use. The synthetic bone nut, chrome hardware, and white plastic control knobs complete a build that reflects genuine attention to detail rather than the bare minimum expected of an entry-level instrument. Finished in Olympic White with a matching white pickguard, this is a guitar built to look and play the part from the very first lesson through years of continued use.
