The Ernie Ball Instrument Care 3-Pack is a complete guitar maintenance kit containing three separate products, each designed for a specific part of the instrument, along with a microfibre polishing cloth. The string cleaner extends string life by removing the acid, dirt, and moisture that accelerate corrosion and tonal degradation. The instrument polish removes fingerprints, haze, and surface grime from the guitar body using an oil-free, proprietary formula that leaves no powdery residue. The fretboard conditioner, blended from orange, jojoba, and linseed oils, cleans and moisturises the fretboard to prevent drying and cracking. All three products can be applied using the included 12 x 12-inch microfibre cloth, which is washable and safe on delicate finishes.

String Cleaner

Ernie Ball's lubricating formula removes acid, dirt, and grime that accumulate on strings during playing. Regular use slows the oxidation process that dulls string tone and shortens their lifespan, keeping them sounding brighter and feeling smoother for longer between string changes.

Instrument Polish

The oil-free polish formula lifts fingerprints, haze, and surface marks from the guitar body in one application, buffed off in a circular motion for a streak-free result. It is safe on most woods and finishes and leaves no chalky residue. Note: as with any polish, Ernie Ball recommends testing on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on nitrocellulose-finished guitars, as finish compatibility can vary.

Fretboard Conditioner

The fretboard conditioner uses a blend of orange, jojoba, and linseed oils to clean and hydrate unfinished wood fretboards. Rosewood, ebony, and similar unfinished fingerboards absorb oils from playing hands over time and can dry, crack, or discolour without occasional conditioning. The formula removes built-up grime at the same time as replenishing moisture, keeping the wood healthy and the playing surface smooth.

Microfibre Polishing Cloth

The included 12 x 12-inch grey microfibre cloth has stitched edging for durability and is suitable for applying all three products in the kit. It is gentle enough to use on lacquered and raw wood surfaces without scratching, and can be machine washed and reused.
