Connectivity And Operation

iRig Keys I/O 49 is designed for universal compatibility with iOS, Mac, PC, and Android devices. A Lightning cable for iOS, USB cable for Mac/PC, and multiple power options (USB, 4 AA batteries, optional external PSU that can charge your iOS device) make this controller versatile for home studios, mobile rigs, or live performance.

The Neutrik® combo input supports microphones, line-level instruments, and high-impedance guitars/basses. Class-A preamps deliver low-noise, professional-quality audio, while phantom power for condenser microphones works even on battery operation. Balanced stereo outputs allow long cable runs to mixers or PA systems, and the headphone output supports private monitoring or practice sessions.

Creative Control And Workflow

iRig Keys I/O 49 offers 8 multicoloured velocity-sensitive pads, 5 programmable touch-sensitive knobs, and 2 fully programmable touch strips that function as pitch/mod controls or assignable sliders. Comprehensive transport buttons, octave and program controls, and touch-sensitive technology provide intuitive, immediate feedback for professional workflows.

Its 49 full-sized keys provide extended range for performance and composition while maintaining a compact design suitable for mobile setups and tight studio spaces. The system is lightweight, portable, and ideal for touring musicians or mobile producers who need full control in the smallest footprint.

Software Compatibility And Features

iRig Keys I/O 49 works seamlessly with iOS, Mac, PC, and Android devices. Its MFi certification ensures plug-and-play operation with iOS devices, including iPhone models without headphone jacks. The included Lightning cable, mobile device stand, and optional power supply support extended sessions. It integrates with DAWs such as GarageBand and Logic Pro via the downloadable Control Surface plug-in for Mac, enabling complete control of your music software.
