The BOSS BP-1W Waza Craft Booster / Preamp is a premium pedal designed to be the foundation of a great tone. This all-analog pedal features three distinct modes, offering versatile tone-shaping capabilities for any player. It is part of the Waza Craft series, which signifies its meticulous design and the use of carefully selected components.
Three Versatile Modes
The pedal offers three selectable modes, each with a unique tonal character. The gain and level knobs allow for precise control over the output and the amount of saturation.
- NAT (Natural) Mode: This mode provides a natural, clean boost with minimal coloration. It is ideal for pushing an amplifier, adding presence to a solo, or simply strengthening your signal in a long effects chain.
- RE (Space Echo) Mode: This mode reproduces the fat, warm preamp sound of the legendary Roland RE-201 Space Echo. It adds a rich, full-bodied tone with smooth highs and a vintage-like compression.
- CE (Chorus Ensemble) Mode: This mode emulates the bright, bell-like preamp tone of the classic BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. It adds a tight low-end response and a pleasing, bright character to your sound.
The pedal also includes a switchable buffer on the rear panel, allowing you to choose between a standard, transparent buffer and a vintage buffer with a warmer tone and lower input impedance.
