The BOSS PX-1 Plugout FX is an innovative hardware platform that re-imagines the classic BOSS compact pedal experience in a single, versatile stompbox. This convertible pedal holds an extensive library of authentic effect recreations from the historic BOSS lineup, providing musicians with a universe of musical colors and endless inspiration. With the PX-1, exploring the vast and influential world of BOSS compact pedals has never been easier. Since 1977, BOSS compact pedals have inspired generations of musicians, with over 140 unique models produced and more than 19 million units sold. The PX-1 puts this diverse and timeless range of effects at your command, from vintage classics and go-to workhorses like the OD-1 and SD-1 to rare and specialty effects.

Authentic Tone and Response

Backed by newly developed BOSS algorithms, each effect in the PX-1 delivers the authentic sound and response of the original pedal it's based on. A powerful DSP engine is dedicated to recreating the sound of a single effect at a time, ensuring every detail is modeled with stunning accuracy. You can dial in tones fast with the familiar knob interface you're used to with BOSS compacts, supported by an onboard display for current parameters and internal settings. The pedal's permanent library includes eight famous BOSS pedals, while eight additional effects are also included and can be loaded into the pedal's user locations using the BOSS Effect Loader app.

Modern Flexibility and Connectivity

The PX-1 offers modern flexibility with support for external control via one or two footswitches or an expression pedal. You can use the "Swap" function to instantly switch between two effects or assign nearly any parameter for real-time expressive control during a performance. It features stereo input and output for flexible connectivity, and tap tempo and MIDI clock sync support help you get the most out of time-based effects. Bluetooth® and USB-C® connectivity are provided for loading effect models and more. The pedal runs on an included AC adaptor or can be powered by USB bus power. Additionally, the same PX-1 effects are available for computer music production with the BOSS Effects Pedals plug-in on Roland Cloud, and six months of Roland Cloud Ultimate membership comes with the pedal.

The PX-1 includes a permanent library of eight famous BOSS pedals, including the three models from the 1977 debut.
