Why Choose Ibanez PICLS6HT Strings For Your Classical Guitar?

Classical guitar strings split into two fundamentally different materials: clear nylon for the treble strings (G, B, high E) and silver-plated wound strings for the bass (E, A, D). Hard tension strings produce greater volume and projection than normal tension, at the cost of slightly more resistance under the fretting hand. They suit instruments with a naturally full, projecting sound and players who want maximum dynamic range and volume from their instrument. Not recommended for instruments built for lighter string tension or for players whose technique is still developing, where normal tension is a more forgiving starting point.

The Ibanez PICLS6HT is a 6-string classical guitar string set in hard tension, sold as a 4-pack. The treble strings (G, B, high E) use clear nylon, producing the warm, clear tone fundamental to classical guitar. The bass strings (E, A, D) use silver-plated wound construction over a nylon core, providing the warmth and resonance that classical bass strings require. Hard tension strings produce greater volume and projection than normal tension, at the cost of slightly more resistance under the fretting hand. They suit instruments with a naturally full, projecting sound and players who want maximum dynamic range and volume from their instrument.
