Tight, Focused RGBW Battery Uplighting With Wireless DMX And All-Day Battery Life — Q-LED Lighting Flux Q4IP+
The Q-LED Lighting Flux Q4IP+ is a battery-powered wireless LED uplighter featuring four 12W RGBW LEDs for four-channel colour mixing, built-in W-DMX for wireless DMX control, and an IP65/IP54 weather-resistant housing suited to indoor and outdoor events. The four colour channels — red, green, blue, and white — deliver accurate, saturated colour mixing and clean whites across the full range of event lighting applications. The beam angle is 15 degrees with a 29-degree field angle, producing a tighter, more architecturally precise uplighting effect than wider-angle fixtures, suited to column features, narrow wall panels, draped fabric, and installations where spill control is important.
Control is via the onboard OLED display, the included IR remote for room-level adjustment, W-DMX for full wireless DMX show control via a compatible controller such as the Q-LED Flux Control 24+ or Flux Sync+, or wired 3-pin DMX for cable-based installations. Multiple control modes include Master/Slave, Auto, W-DMX, and IR Remote. The internal lithium-ion battery delivers up to 12 hours of operation on a single colour, rechargeable in approximately 5 hours via the built-in PowerTwist connectors. A wireless charging base is also compatible for supported stands and accessories. The folding carry handle sits flush against the body when not in use and extends for easy single-hand carry. Eight fixtures can be charged simultaneously in the optional Flux FC8 charging flight case, available separately or as part of the Q4IP+ Case Of 8 bundle. LED lifespan is rated at over 50,000 hours.
Beam And Field Angle
The Q4IP+'s 15-degree beam and 29-degree field make it the more focused of the two FLUX uplighter models. Where the H4IP+'s wider 25/49-degree optics spread light across a broader wall surface for ambient colour wash, the Q4IP+ concentrates output into a tighter column — more impact per fixture on a narrow feature, more definition on a column or pillar, and less bleed onto adjacent surfaces. For a room where the uplighters are close to the walls or where maintaining separation between lit zones matters, the tighter optics of the Q4IP+ give more control over the final result.
Battery, Charging, And IP Rating
The lithium-ion battery provides up to 12 hours of single-colour operation — enough to cover the longest event day without recharging mid-run. When the event is over, the PowerTwist connectors recharge the battery in approximately 5 hours, ready for the next use. Wireless charging base compatibility allows the fixtures to charge on compatible stands without any direct connection. The IP65 rating on the top panel protects against water ingress from rain and incidental spray for confident outdoor deployment, while the IP54 rating on the underside covers protection against splashing from any direction — practical for ground-level use on grass, wet venue entrances, or outdoor marquee floors.
