The Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff Pi is an enhanced version of the iconic NYC Big Muff Pi, delivering the legendary sweet, singing sustain and thick fuzz that has shaped rock guitar for over 50 years—now with extensive sound-shaping controls for maximum versatility. It retains the classic three-knob core (Sustain, Tone, Volume) while adding a footswitchable parametric Mids EQ, adjustable noise gate, Attack blend for punch, switchable Bass Boost, and expression pedal input to sweep mids in real time, turning it into an extreme fuzzed-out wah.

This pedal excels in cutting through dense mixes during live gigs, recording sessions, or rehearsals—ideal for rock, alternative, shoegaze, metal, blues-rock, experimental, or psychedelic tones in stage setups, home studios, schools, churches, or pedalboard builds where players need classic Muff sustain with modern flexibility and noise control.

Tone and Character

Produces violin-like sustain, massive walls of fuzz, or scooped aggression. The Mids section allows precise midrange sculpting (boost for definition, cut for huge lows), while Attack preserves dynamics, Gate cleans up hum, and Bass Boost adds rumble without mud.
