The Warmdrive is Warm Audio’s faithful recreation of the iconic “amp-in-a-box” overdrive, capturing the smooth harmonic richness and dynamic touch response of its vintage inspiration. Whether you’re pushing a clean amp into breakup, stacking gain, or adding sustain, it behaves like a real overdriven amplifier in a pedal box.
Voice + Tone for Deep Tonal Control
Unique to this design, the Voice control shapes the frequency content before clipping, while Tone shapes it after the clipping stage. This dual EQ setup enables expressive tweaking across clean, crunch, and lead settings. The pedal offers classic Volume, Gain, Tone, and Voice controls, allowing a broad sonic palette from mild overdrive to saturated sustain.
Built for Performance & Reliability
Warmdrive is built with premium components—2N7000 MOSFETs, NE5532 op-amp, carbon resistors, and 1N34A/Schottky BAT41 diodes—to preserve the character of the original circuit. It features true bypass switching, is powered via 9 V battery or external 9 V DC, and draws approximately 25 mA. Rugged metal enclosure and tapered control knobs complete its classic aesthetic.
