Sound Design

EZbass lets you shape the perfect bass sound. It offers detailed, sampled bass instruments that cover a variety of styles, from modern clean tones to vintage growls. With access to a comprehensive library of articulations, including slap, finger-style, pick, and more, EZbass ensures every bassline you create sounds authentic and full of character.

Bass Instruments

EZbass includes two carefully sampled basses: the Modern Bass, ideal for clean, punchy tones with a broad range of articulations, and the Vintage Bass, delivering classic, warm tones with a characteristic midrange growl. Both basses include multiple pickup options and advanced articulations for versatile bass playing.

MIDI Library

EZbass features a vast collection of MIDI bass performances across multiple genres. From funk and metal to country and blues, these professionally performed files give your compositions depth and realism. You can also use EZbass's Tap2Find to tap in rhythms and find matching MIDI files from the built-in library.

Grid Editor

EZbass comes with an intuitive Grid Editor that lets you fine-tune your MIDI bass performance. Adjust timing, velocity, and articulation per note, or use features like quantize, slicing, and randomization to match the bassline to your track. This advanced editor gives you complete control over every detail.

Audio Tracker

EZbass’s Audio Tracker allows you to convert any melodic audio file to MIDI. Record bass, guitar, vocals, or synth directly into EZbass and convert it to MIDI in real-time, turning rough ideas into professional-quality basslines instantly.

Performance Flexibility

EZbass offers multiple ways to add bass to your existing tracks. Use the Drums and Keys tab to automatically create basslines based on your existing MIDI drum or keyboard tracks. Alternatively, you can record your own bassline using a MIDI controller or tap in a rhythm using Tap2Find to explore different variations.

Production-Ready Sounds

EZbass includes amp, cabinet, and FX simulations, allowing you to create professional bass tones directly in the software. You can also process sounds externally with DI signals for more advanced setups.
