At the heart of the LT 16 are eight of Fender's all-new MAX-HD mic preamps, each delivering 75 dB of clean, transparent gain, the most in its class. From sensitive condensers to gain-hungry ribbons, you get detailed, low-noise capture across all eight channels without external boosters. Two Fender-designed Hi-Z instrument inputs ensure guitars and basses sound natural and dynamic straight in.

Fourteen line inputs for outboard gear and expanded I/O

Six front-panel XLR/TRS combo jacks and eight rear TRS inputs give you a total of fourteen line-level connections for external mic preamps, synthesisers, mixers, and other outboard gear. The rear inputs are switchable between +4 dBu and -10 dBV operation, making integration straightforward regardless of the gear you're running.

Custom low-latency drivers for macOS and Windows keep recording responsive across large sessions, while 24-bit converters with support up to 192 kHz maintain clarity throughout the signal chain. Balanced TRS outputs and a powerful headphone amp provide flexible monitoring for studio and hybrid setups. Built-in loopback makes streaming, podcasting, and content creation straightforward.

DC-coupled outputs, MIDI I/O, and standalone operation

DC-coupled line outputs send control voltage directly from your DAW to modular and analogue synth gear, bridging digital and analogue workflows without additional hardware. 5-pin MIDI I/O connects keyboards, drum machines, and hardware sequencers with no external MIDI interface needed. Standalone Mic Pre Mode transforms the LT 16 into an 8-channel mic preamp, operating independently of a DAW for hybrid recording rigs. Standalone Mixer Mode also allows analogue-style mixing without opening your computer.
