The Xvive XV1-R is a compact and versatile portable stereo recorder built around a pair of high-quality custom X/Y configured microphones capable of handling up to 130dB SPL, making it an ideal recording companion for musicians, content creators, journalists and filmmakers across a wide range of situations. Five factory-preset recording profiles — Production, General, Meeting, Voice Memo and Concert — provide perfectly optimised settings for the most common recording scenarios straight out of the box, removing the need for complex manual configuration before recording begins. Audio can be captured in 32-bit float or 24-bit PCM WAV at up to 96kHz for pristine, professional-quality recordings, or in AAC-LC/HE-AAC formats for smaller file sizes where storage efficiency is a priority.

Onboard effects including low cut, gate, compressor and limiter give precise control over the recorded signal, and a handy Overdub function allows new layers to be recorded on top of existing recordings for harmonies, commentary or song demos. The USB-C port doubles as both a data transfer connection and a USB audio interface input for computer-based recording, and a slate tone generator enables accurate audio-to-video sync when used with DSLR and video cameras — a tripod mount socket on the underside of the unit supports direct camera mounting.
