The BOSS SY-1000 is a next-generation guitar synthesizer and modelling processor. It is the most powerful guitar/bass synth processor to date, fusing decades of R&D with the latest software and hardware advancements. The custom DSP and GK independent string processing deliver ultra-articulate tracking, lightning-fast response, and instantly variable tuning.
It allows for the simultaneous use of three instruments, which can be layered and combined for an endless range of sounds. A standard 1/4-inch input is also available to blend in regular guitar/bass sounds.

- Advanced Modelling and Poly FX: Includes a large selection of electric, acoustic, and bass guitar models, as well as a VIO Guitar instrument and Poly FX.
- Two Step Sequencers: The Dynamic Synth engine features two 16-step sequencers to add movement to sounds.
- Intuitive Interface: Features a large LCD and hands-on knobs for easy editing.
- Flexible Control: Eight freely assignable footswitches, external control support, and configurable Main/Sub outputs.
- USB Audio/MIDI: The built-in USB interface allows for direct recording to a DAW and MIDI functionality.
