All The LOSUB's Space-Saving Design, With The Amplifier Built In

The active LOSUB-15A takes the same low-profile, forward-ported cabinet design as the passive LOSUB-15 and adds an onboard Class-D amplifier, removing the need for a separate power amp and simplifying the setup to a single mains connection. Two independent inputs and outputs allow the LOSUB-15A to run as the low-frequency anchor of a 2.1 system, feeding a stereo pair of active tops from the sub cabinet itself — a genuinely practical solution for compact PA setups where floor space and equipment count both need to stay under control.

A Self-Powered Sub In A Cabinet Barely 36cm Tall — Citronic LOSUB-15A Active Subwoofer, 600W

The Citronic LOSUB-15A is a low-profile active subwoofer built around a 380mm (15") driver and an onboard Class-D amplifier with fixed DSP, using the same semi-directional ported design as the passive LOSUB-15 — a downward-angled baffle that creates a ground-level pressure zone and ports it forward, allowing the driver to operate without the deep rear air space a conventional cabinet needs. This keeps the enclosure to just 360mm in height, low enough to fit under staging, beside furniture, or into narrow install spaces, with a 35mm pole mount socket on top for adding a satellite full-range speaker.

The input section provides two independent balanced XLR/6.3mm jack inputs and two balanced XLR outputs, enabling stereo link to a pair of active top cabinets for a full 2.1 system configuration from a single subwoofer. Onboard controls include a flat/boost switch, phase switch, adjustable crossover frequency, and subwoofer level, giving direct control over how much low-end the sub contributes without needing external processing. Power handling reaches 600W RMS (1200W maximum), with a frequency response of 40Hz to 120Hz, sensitivity of 96dB at 1W/1m, and a maximum SPL of 127dB. The MDF enclosure uses the same durable polyurea finish and routed carry handles as the passive model, and runs from a standard 230VAC IEC mains connection.

Both work excellent and are the best clip-on tuners I have used.
