The Full H90 Algorithm Lineup In A Compact Pedal - Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2
The Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 is a compact multi-effects pedal with 74 algorithms, including the full H90 and H9 Max libraries, and more than 1,000 presets out of the box. It runs on modern ARM processing, has a larger 2.5" display and updated controls, and is fully compatible with H9 Classic presets.
Algorithms And Presets
The effects cover delay, reverb, pitch, granular, vocal effects, looping and more. High-fidelity polyphonic pitch effects use SIFT technology, and effects tails carry over seamlessly between presets. The Harmonizer+ vocal suite pairs with the Eventide MixingLink, which is sold separately.
Four Modes Built For Playing
The H9 works in four modes: Select, Perform, Presets and Parameters. Select loads presets from a playlist, Perform sets up the footswitches for live use, Presets browses the factory and user library by effect type and algorithm, and Parameters edits the sound. Two programmable footswitches are joined by HotKnob and HotSwitch macro control and three Quick Knobs. Every parameter can be edited from the pedal itself, with no app needed, and there is a built-in tuner.
Routing And Connections
Routing options include wet/dry and pre/post, so the H9 works in pedalboards, amp loops, hybrid rigs and studio setups. There are two mono inputs and two mono outputs, with instrument and line level support. EXP and CTL jacks take an expression pedal, CV and auxiliary switches, and MIDI is on 5-pin DIN in and out/thru, plus USB-C.
Eventide Control App
The Eventide Control app for macOS and Windows connects over USB-C. Use it for firmware updates, preset management, routing and MIDI mapping, and importing or exporting User Lists. Bluetooth support for the app on Mac and iPad is listed as coming soon.
