The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 is a fully active 4-way column PA system with a passive cardioid column design, developed for demanding live performances and delivering 1,800W RMS (3,600W peak) and 133dB maximum SPL. Combining powerful full-range sound, plenty of headroom and controlled dispersion with the fast, straightforward handling the MAUI series is known for, it is ideal for DJs, bands and event service providers who want professional sound reinforcement with minimal setup effort. A high-power 15" neodymium subwoofer delivers punchy, precise low end down to 34Hz, while the two-piece aluminium column houses 14 x 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and 4 x 1" compression drivers for coherent mid and high frequency reproduction across a 120° x 25° dispersion field.

The fully active 4-way design gives each frequency band its own driver group and amplifier channel, with crossover points at 200Hz, 700Hz and 1,800Hz. In the upper section of the column, newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides provide even, controlled dispersion, while horn-loaded midrange drivers in the lower section deliver greater efficiency, substantial headroom and powerful, clear vocals. The passive cardioid column directs sound towards the audience and attenuates rearward radiation by up to 18dB for a significantly cleaner stage. The Class-D amplifier is paired with DynX DSP Gen.2 and advanced peak, RMS and thermal limiters for clean, undistorted sound at the highest output levels, and Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC support provides wireless playback. 15" Neodymium Subwoofer & Expandable Bass

The high-power 15" neodymium woofer delivers punchy, precise low end down to 34Hz, with airflow-optimised bass reflex ports that reduce turbulence and port noise to keep the bass clean and defined even at high output levels. The subwoofer enclosure is polyurea-coated birch multiplex, built for everyday professional use, with four ergonomic carrying handles for easier transport. Adding a second MAUI 44 G3 subwoofer extends the cardioid principle to the bass: placed rear-facing with the Cardioid preset, it increases bass towards the audience and reduces it behind the system, while placed forward-facing it doubles the low-frequency sound pressure (+6dB) for maximum bass.

Two-Piece 4-Way Column

The aluminium column houses 14 x 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and 4 x 1" compression drivers, with recessed handles for easy handling. In the upper section, newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides give even, controlled dispersion, while the lower section uses horn-loaded midrange drivers for greater efficiency, substantial headroom and powerful, clear vocals. The result is coherent mid and high frequency reproduction with 120° x 25° dispersion, and the passive cardioid design attenuates rearward radiation by up to 18dB (100Hz–1kHz) to significantly reduce unwanted sound on stage.
