The LD Systems U308 HHD is a professional UHF diversity wireless handheld microphone system from LD Systems’ U300 series, developed in Germany and delivering excellent audio performance with a reliable transmission range of up to 100 metres across 12 selectable channels in the 823–832MHz and 863–865MHz frequency bands. Up to six U300 systems can be operated simultaneously in the same frequency band without interference, and convenient one-touch ASC infrared synchronisation between the transmitter and receiver makes setup fast and problem-free. Pilot tone squelch ensures disruption-free operation throughout the performance, and the FM diversity receiver provides a strong, stable wireless signal with a 104dB signal-to-noise ratio.

The included U308 MD dynamic cardioid handheld microphone transmitter delivers a frequency response of 55Hz–16kHz, 10mW RF output power and over 10 hours of operation from two AA batteries, with a power LED and standby-capable power switch for convenient stage use. The compact metal-housed receiver features a bright LCD channel display, an LED audio signal chain, a balanced XLR output and a switchable unbalanced 6.3mm jack output — switchable between line and instrument level for direct connection to guitar and bass amplifiers as well as standard mixing desk inputs. The U308 HHD is also compatible with U500 series replacement mic heads, providing further tonal flexibility, and an optional rack mount kit is available separately for 19" installation.
