The LD Systems U308 IEM is a professional wireless in-ear monitoring system developed in Germany, providing reliable and high-quality stage monitoring with complete freedom of movement for performers across live music, theatre and broadcast applications. Operating across 823–832MHz and 863–865MHz with 12 selectable transmission channels, the system supports up to six simultaneous IEM systems in the same frequency band — and an unlimited number of bodypack receivers can be set to the same transmission frequency, making it highly scalable for larger ensemble and broadcast productions. A reliable wireless range of up to 100 metres and a frequency response of 50Hz–16kHz ensure professional monitoring performance across venues of all sizes.

The rack-mountable transmitter features a rugged metal casing, combo XLR and 6.3mm jack inputs for balanced and unbalanced connectivity, separate left and right input level controls with dual LED chains for audio signal monitoring, stereo/mono mode switching and a removable BNC antenna. The compact bodypack receiver connects to standard 3.5mm TRS earphones, offers channel up/down selection and individual volume adjustment for performer-controlled monitoring, and provides up to 10 hours of operation from two AA batteries — supplied in the box. A 19" rack mount kit is included with the transmitter for clean and professional integration into any audio rack system.

The U308 IEM transmitter provides 12 selectable transmission channels across the 823–832MHz and 863–865MHz frequency bands for interference management in multi-system environments, with FM transmission in both stereo and mono modes to suit different monitoring applications and mix configurations. Combo XLR and 6.3mm jack inputs accommodate balanced and unbalanced sources from mixing desks and stage equipment, and separate left and right input level controls with dual LED chains allow precise signal monitoring and level matching from the front panel. The rugged metal casing and removable BNC antenna provide the durability and RF flexibility expected from a professional IEM transmitter.

Bodypack Receiver – Performer-Controlled Monitoring

The compact and lightweight U308 IEM bodypack receiver puts monitoring control directly in the hands of the performer. Channel selection, volume adjustment and on/off switching are all accessible from the bodypack, and an LED indicator shows RF reception status and battery level at a glance. The 3.5mm TRS output accommodates standard IEM earphones with a minimum impedance of 16 Ohms, delivering up to 100mW of output power at 16 Ohms for powerful and clear in-ear monitoring throughout a full performance. Up to 10 hours of operation from two AA batteries — included in the box — ensures reliable coverage throughout the longest events.

Scalable For Multi-Performer Productions

The U308 IEM system is designed to scale effectively for larger productions. Up to six complete systems can be operated simultaneously within the same frequency band without mutual interference, and — critically — an unlimited number of bodypack receivers can be tuned to the same transmission frequency as a single transmitter, allowing multiple performers to share one monitor mix without any additional transmitters. This makes the U308 IEM a highly cost-effective solution for choirs, ensembles, theatre productions and broadcast environments where many performers need to share the same in-ear monitor feed.
