Mackie Thump GO 8" Portable Battery-Powered PA Speaker With Bluetooth

Mackie  |  SKU: thumpgo

Why A Battery-Powered PA Speaker Makes Sense For Mobile Performers And Presenters

A conventional powered speaker is only useful where there is a mains socket close to the stage. For buskers, mobile DJs, fitness instructors, teachers, event hosts and acoustic acts, that is often the thing that decides where and how they can play. A battery-powered speaker removes the restriction, so the sound system goes wherever the performance does.

The Mackie Thump GO is built for that kind of work while still behaving like a proper PA speaker. It has an onboard mixer for a microphone and a music source, a set of voicing modes for different uses, and the option to run from the mains when a socket is available. The battery is removable, so a spare can be swapped in when a longer day demands it.

Pro Sound With The Portability Of A Boom Box - Mackie Thump GO 8" Portable Battery-Powered Speaker

The Mackie Thump GO is a portable battery-powered loudspeaker with an ultra-efficient 200W Class-D amplifier driving a custom 8" high-output woofer and a 1" compression driver. It runs for up to 12 hours on its removable lithium-ion battery, streams music over Bluetooth and is controlled wirelessly from the Thump Connect 2 app, which suits buskers, mobile DJs, presenters, event hosts, fitness and dance instructors, schools and small venues.

Discover the Mackie Thump GO in more detail...

Sound And Performance

The 8" woofer and 1" compression driver give the Thump GO the punchy low end and clear top end associated with the Thump range. The frequency response is 50 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) and 57 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), with 90 degrees of horizontal coverage. Four application-specific voicing modes let you tailor the sound to how you are using the speaker, and Feedback Elimination helps when a microphone is close by.

Mixer, Bluetooth And App Control

A 2-channel digital mixer with an XLR mix output lets you combine a microphone and a music source on one speaker. Music Ducking automatically lowers channel 2 whenever you speak on channel 1, which is useful for DJs, hosts and instructors. Bluetooth streams music from a phone or tablet, and the Thump Connect 2 app gives wireless control over the speaker from Android or iOS. A second Thump GO can be linked over Bluetooth for music playback and control, in stereo or dual mono.

Battery And Power

The removable lithium-ion battery gives up to 12 hours of use, and a tri-colour indicator shows the remaining charge. The speaker also runs from the mains with a standard AC cable, and a spare battery (sold separately) can be added for longer events.

Build And Mounting

The enclosure is a durable, lightweight moulded design, with a rugged powder-coated steel grille. The speaker can be used upright on a stand, using the built-in pole mount, or laid down as a floor monitor with a 45 degree angle. It weighs 8 kg and measures 457 x 230 x 285 mm, so it is easy to carry between venues. It is compatible with the Mackie ThumpSub GO subwoofer for added low-frequency extension, and it is not designed to be suspended by its handle.

Really happy with the PC and the service received. Communication was excellent throughout the build process. All delivered in good time and received with plenty of helpful advice, especially from Kieran after delivery to help me set it up.

Will definitely recommend. Many thanks

Michael Cole

Very bright and easy to see

M butcher

Ordered guitar strings which arrived in two days, inside package was an offer for a guitar tuner which also arrived in two days. Excellent customer service.

Terence Hamilton

At the offer price this was very good value for money. I have generally found Snark tuners to be very good although with the low tunings I use I often find they can take a little time to give an accurate reading moving from string to string. Otherwise, Great!

Jake Glanville

The Snark SN1X clip on guitar tuner is a very handy and accurate tuner, very easy to use and at a great prices too! 👍🌟🍺😸

Jason Davey

This is my second Snark Tuner, there are various versions, this one is for use at home the other is RF shielded and has rubber protection incase dropped. Both work excellent and are the best clip-on tuners I have used. The service given by Audio Direct was first class, Dave even telephoned me to discuss a query I had not something many online traders would do so overall 10/10

Elfed Weaver

Brilliant company and good prices, many thanks 🙏

Powerful, purpose‑built music production PC that fits extremely well with the demands of Asian music

If you’re into producing Asian music — Bollywood & Bhangra this system is exactly what you need

i have huge sample libraries — sitar, tabla, erhu, taiko drums — plus modern synth layers and this PC handles all of it without breaking a sweat.

Musical, dependable looper offering rich stereo sound, generous memory, and helpful rhythm options. Ideal for practice, songwriting, and live performance

It sounds like it's supposed to sound, easy to shape the tone on each of my electric guitars. Yes, each of the amplugs is a one (or two) trick pony, but they do what they're supposed to well, and they each sound like the amp they emulate.

Daniel

Really good clear display, large screen for easy use. Light touch activation button, accurate tuning. Sturdy strong feel but light, Nice shade of blue shell. fits securely to headstock, easy to detach. Pleased with my purchase.
