The NUX Optima Air (NAI-5) is a compact acoustic simulator pedal and impulse response loader that lets you transform your electric guitar into a lifelike acoustic instrument. Designed for live performance and studio work, it offers advanced tone-shaping tools, custom IR loading, and DI-level output — all in one compact unit.
Studio-Grade IR Acoustic Simulation
With 15 high-quality acoustic guitar IRs onboard — plus support for third-party IRs — the Optima Air recreates the warmth and resonance of real acoustic bodies. Whether you’re using a clean electric signal or piezo pickup, it brings character and depth to your tone instantly.
Built-In Preamp, EQ and DI Output
The pedal includes a 3-band EQ and adjustable notch filter to combat feedback, alongside a preamp stage that enhances tone and output. Balanced DI out makes it ideal for sending your signal directly to a mixer or interface — perfect for solo performers and gigging musicians.
User IR Loading and Tone Customisation
Load your own acoustic impulse responses via USB using the NUX QuickTone™ software, giving you full control over the body shape, mic placement and voicing. Save and recall up to 24 user patches for fast access to your favourite tones.
