Why Strap Locks Are An Essential Purchase For Any Guitarist

A guitar falling from a strap is not a minor inconvenience. At best it means a ding or a crack. At worst it's a broken headstock on an instrument that cannot be repaired to the same standard. Strap locks prevent this by replacing the standard strap button with a secure, lockable system — the strap won't detach unless deliberately released.

The Stagg SSL1 BK is a complete strap lock system in black, providing secure locking between the instrument and the guitar strap. The set includes two replacement strap buttons with screws (which replace the existing strap buttons on the instrument) and two locking strap mounts (which attach to each end of the strap). The locking mechanism engages automatically when the strap mount is pushed onto the button, and releases with a simple top-pull action.

Load rating is 120lbs (approximately 54kg) per button. RoHS compliant.
