The Vox Pathfinder 10 is a 10-watt solid-state guitar combo amplifier with a 6.5" Vox Bulldog speaker, designed to deliver the chime, warmth, and responsiveness the Vox name is built on in a compact, affordable practice amp. The all-analogue solid-state circuit is voiced to capture the characteristic Vox harmonic content — bright, chimey cleans with natural compression and warmth — and the Clean/Overdrive switch provides instant access to Vox's signature overdrive character, from light crunch at lower gain settings to a more driven, full-gain tone at higher settings. Gain and Volume operate independently, giving control over both the preamp saturation level and the overall output level, with Bass and Treble providing two-band tonal shaping.

The headphone and line output carries a specially filtered signal that is shaped to sound balanced and musical when listened to directly or recorded, making the Pathfinder 10 a practical recording tool as well as a practice amp. Connecting to this output mutes the onboard speaker for silent practice. The cabinet is finished in Vox's characteristic basket-weave leather-look vinyl with the traditional brown diamond grille cloth, white piping, and gold beading, and the controls use Vox's signature chicken head knobs throughout.
