The WA-87jr captures the sonic signature of the legendary “87-style” microphones using a vintage-correct K87-style gold-sputtered capsule paired with modern transformer-less FET circuitry. It delivers the warm, detailed midrange and smooth top end associated with pro studio vocal and instrument recordings while remaining affordable and easy to use.

Flexible Recording Options

Featuring selectable polar patterns and handy onboard controls, the WA-87jr adapts to many recording scenarios. Use cardioid for focused vocals, omni or figure-8 for stereo and room capture, and engage the pad or low-cut to tame loud or boomy sources — all without compromising tonal clarity.
