Wharfedale Pro EZ-8A 8" 100W Battery-Powered Bluetooth PA Speaker with Tour Bag

Portable 8" 100W Battery Powered Coaxial PA Speaker With FIR DSP, TWS Bluetooth, 115dB SPL & Up To 6 Hours Cordless Operation – Wharfedale Pro EZ-8A.

The Wharfedale Pro EZ-8A is a professional 8" 100W battery-powered coaxial active PA speaker delivering up to 115dB SPL and six hours of cordless operation in a portable 8kg enclosure — stepping up from the EZ-6A with a larger coaxial driver for greater output, improved low-frequency extension and a higher maximum SPL, whilst retaining the same professional-grade feature set and highly practical portability that defines the EZ series. Built around an 8" coaxial 2-way driver delivering consistent, focused point-source sound in any placement position, the EZ-8A is powered by a 100W continuous Class-D amplifier with a 90dB sensitivity rating for efficient acoustic output, and features integrated FIR filter DSP — genuine FIR filtering providing precise magnitude and phase control for a level of sonic detail and accuracy that significantly exceeds what standard DSP processing can achieve in a portable speaker at this size and weight.

A high-capacity lithium battery provides up to six hours of operation at mid-high volume, rechargeable via USB-C for convenient universal charging between sessions. Comprehensive connectivity includes balanced XLR and 1/4" jack inputs with dedicated level controls per channel, a 3.5mm stereo input for media players and smartphones, a balanced XLR line output for pass-through to additional speakers or recording equipment, and TWS Bluetooth for wirelessly linking two EZ-8A speakers in stereo. HF and LF level adjust EQ controls on the rear panel allow quick and intuitive tone shaping without external processing, and a 35mm pole mount socket, floor monitor angle and tilt-back positioning support multiple deployment configurations to suit any application. A tour bag is included as standard for protective carrying and storage on the road.

8" Coaxial Driver & FIR Filter DSP

The EZ-8A's 8" coaxial 2-way driver places the HF driver concentrically within the LF driver for a single point-source design that delivers consistent, focused coverage regardless of placement angle or position. The larger 8" format provides greater low-frequency output and extension compared to the EZ-6A, with a higher sensitivity of 90dB for more efficient acoustic output. Integrated FIR filter DSP goes well beyond the capabilities of standard DSP processing, delivering precise simultaneous magnitude and phase control for a refined, accurate and detailed sound that is exceptional for a battery-powered portable PA speaker at this size and weight.

Up To 6 Hours Battery Life & USB-C Charging

The high-capacity lithium battery provides up to six hours of operation at mid-high volume — enough to cover a full day of performances, presentations and events without a mains supply. USB-C charging offers convenient and universal top-up from a wide range of power sources between sessions, and the speaker also operates on mains power via the included AC cable (100–240V, 50/60Hz) for fixed installation use. Together, these power options make the EZ-8A a genuinely flexible and self-sufficient portable PA solution for a wide range of professional applications.

Comprehensive Connectivity & Versatile Deployment

Balanced XLR and 1/4" jack inputs with dedicated level controls handle microphones and line-level sources, a 3.5mm stereo input accommodates media players and smartphones, and a balanced XLR line output enables signal pass-through to additional speakers or recording equipment. TWS Bluetooth allows two EZ-8A speakers to be wirelessly linked for stereo operation without additional cabling. The 35mm pole mount socket, floor monitor angle and tilt-back positioning cover the full range of common deployment scenarios from front-of-house PA through to stage monitoring and close-range presentation use.
